A Bit About Me

Tom Hastings is a Registered General Nurse and qualified exercise instructor who has worked in cardiology for over 15 years.  Having trained at St Thomas’s Hospital, London he went on to set up the cardiac rehabilitation service at Watford General Hospital.  His most recent NHS post is as Clinical Nurse Specialist in Cardiology at Kingston Hospital, London.

Tom is married with two children.  Despite a busy professional life he is a keen sportsman who has played rugby and water polo for his county.  More recently, he has become involved in distance running and completed his fifth marathon in Las Vegas.

Tom founded Heartsure in 2012, with a focus on Cardiac Rehabilitation and helping people improve their health and lifestyle, both before the development of heart conditions, and after major cardiac events. Tom has since developed Heartsure into a Cardiology Clinic to provide everyone with access to Consultations and Diagnostic Tests.

Clinical Nurse Specialist in Cardiology, Kingston Hospital

Since 2010, Tom has been working as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Cardiology Department at Kingston Hospital. Including care for inpatients, Tom is one of the leads of the Rapid Access Chest Pain Clinic for those patients with Angina-type pain. 

Adult Nursing, London South Bank University

In 2005, Tom graduated from London South Bank University as a Registered Nurse. Tom developed his skills as a Clinical Nurse Specialist, and grew in his interest of Cardiology.
